I’m Fred. I’m around 6 years old and have been staying at the refuge for almost a year. I came here with my older friend, Cheetah, when my dear owner became very ill and had to back to England. I am a quiet lad and a little shy of new people. I don’t take long to get to know you though and, when I do, I love to have a fuss made of me.
I was originally a goat-herder – that’s why my tail is very short – but that job wasn’t for me and I ran away from my farm when I was quite young. It was then that I arrived at the door of my owner and she took me in to stay with her. Cheetah and I had a great life. We lived right in the country and had lots of space. A short while ago, my friend, Cheetah died. He was 12 but it was still sad for me.I don’t like being on my own, though, so my people at K9 introduced me to a new kennel-friend very quickly. We get on just fine.
I don’t know why I haven’t been adopted yet. My people here say I am beautiful inside and out but I do wonder if I am not pretty enough. Or perhaps it is because I am a little shy at first. Whatever it is, I hope my day will come. Would you please be my sponsor?
