I’m Auto and I am K9’s longest resident. I arrived at the refuge 8 years ago when I was only 4 months old and have grown up here. I was found all alone and frightened near the motorway at Las Chafiras. I wasn’t treated very well that first 4 months of my life. I don’t know why – I don’t know what I did wrong. The bad experiences have stayed with my whole life so I am very shy with new people, especially with men. I am also quite scared of new dogs too although I have good friend, Charlie, at K9.
Over the years, a number of people have tried to build a trusting relationship with me with a view to my going home to live with them but none lasted the course. I’m sad about that but I understand, as I know it is a long, slow journey with me and I am hard to get to know. All I really wants is a quiet and safe home with few visitors and my own large garden where I can spend my later years without the need to go very far. My people at K9 tell me that is hard to find, though. I would love if you would be my sponsor buddy.
